First of all, welcome to BC and the Forum. I assume you have checked the regs, there are a ton of restrictions on the Little Q. It is a beautiful stream though and worth fishing even if the fish are small, but be gentle with the smaller Rainbows as they could be Steelhead smolts. The Browns are few and far between so Cutties are probably your best bet. I would check on with the good folks at Nile Creek before heading out for opportunities in that area.

Hey there fish man. I live in the same neighbourhood actually. I have put some time in above the falls from our side and nymphs and dries are about all iv had luck on. The fish I have caught which hasn't been many at all, are definitely small. Not many fish in there at all, great scenery though so you can't go wrong. As for below the falls, it's closed for half the year from the falls to the hatchery down river.... December 1st- June 1st I believe but you'll have to double check. The river is open below the hatchery though all year which isn't to far to drive. Enjoy the river and keep an eye out for poachers, unfortunately there's quite a few around....And welcome to the neighbourhood!

Yes..welcome to the Island and the Little Q area...love that section of the River that is open all year...most of the fisha re small and deserve a #2 0r#3 fly rod...but like many Brwon Trout there are some hogs in there especially a bit closer to the lake...just before dark and early /very early morning... there is also a great little lake above your property that is loaded with some nice trout..used to have to walk in a bit and carry a belly boat...stop by the store and don't forget to look into fly fishing the beaches for Salmon starting in Mid July..and Cuttie fishing off the beaches almost all year
