Hello,

I am from Edmonton Alberta and am planning a trip to Vernon in mid August to ride some bikes and go fishing with my kid. The problem is that I have never fished in Vernon and am asking for some info on which streams or river s to fish as well as any fly suggestions. Please help me out as I would like to get my kid into fishing but he is starting to loose patience as the area of Alberta I live in has had poor fishing this year.

You could try and ask at Surplus Herby's in Vernon or Westside Stores in Salmon Arm or Trout Waters Fly and Tackle in Kelowna, they all might have good info for you.
