I saw a bulletin today that said the government is looking at changing the regs on one of the great cutty fisheries here. They are proposing to lift the size restriction on the introduced rainbows in that system. And also allow 4 rainbows to be kept. The rainbows will be having their fins clipped to identify them. The maximum size restriction will still apply to cutthroat. Hopefully this will help to preserve a great cutthroat fishery. Its proposed to be implemented in April 2011. There is some concern already though that people will be confused and keep big cutties too. Which already is a problem as some are to ignorant to read the regs, and don't understand the rarity of some the great fisheries we have here.
