Your a mod now, ;) ;)
Dont wanna butt in, but wasnt the November fly of the month whatever you want fly? it says this is for the octobers fly of the month, Coho/Chum backwater streamers ?? o.0
This is the most dumb-ass contest ever. I tried 4 times to post to the November fotm gallery. Although I was able to post in the thread, I was unable to get the Gallery to accept my pattern. Why don't we ask everyone to post in BCFR and FlyBC as well just add another level of frustration. I am not some computer illiterate, but can't seem to figure this PC dominated site out. I am sick and tired of trying to play nice in the sandbox and then finding out I don't qualify to play. What is possibly wrong with posting a picture and recipe in a thread and being qualified for inclusion. Why should it take me 1/2 hour to get to play. I spend 20-30 minutes setting up the shot, I spend another 10 minutes transferring the shot from my camera to the computer, transfer to photobucket, 10 minutes writing up the recipe, 30 minutes trying to upload to gallery (and being told my file is too big), going into Photoshop, resizing with no better result. Frankly this is just a ^&&%%% waste of time and effort.

Thanks for the support, nice to see someone out there appreciates all the hard work it takes to make this site all happen, cheers to you! :)
wow!!!!!I might think of thanking everybody for putting this on and the sponsors for the gift but wow.....

Sure, thanks for all the hard work Rick. I have supported you in more ways than you know, Rick and for plenty of years, so don't toss that at me. I have talked to you about this before, but for all the hard work you put in, you still manage to make things more difficult than they need to be, and I can't quite figure out why. Nothing about the designs of these sites are intuitive in nature, but every feature is layered in two or three steps. There are better (read easier) ways to do things. Criticism, complaint, call it what you will Rick, you don't take it very well. Coastrider, your input is, I am sure, appreciated.
Perhaps guys it's best to have this conversation privately...

That would be too simple!
After winning a $70 flyline, challenging myself to tie a better fly (and having fun doing so), I think the trouble of tying a fly, taking a picture, resizing and uploading a photo was well worth the hour it took me start to finish. Thanks Rick, Nile Creek Fly Shop and Snowbee, you guys rock. I'm thrilled that something like the FOTM contest is running.

P.s. TBar.........your needlefish is awesome!!! Hope you don't mind, I'm tying a bunch in purple...
I usually have no problem with uploading etc, but agreed this should be something solved via pm
and thanks for the compliment stevil, haha and i dont mind, tie away, in all the colors you can imagine
Well, I've been having problem uploading pics to the gallery for over a month now and haven't been able to enter any of the contests. I have been sending pm's and it seems to have worked as rick just pm'd me and I was able to upload a pic to my gallery.
Thanks again for your help rick.

Brian

and i gotta ask why you even made that comment? as you said you got it working
How about we just recenter this topic where it belongs?

Professori said something in anger and frustration to a friend of his, and I'm sure that he would take it back if he could. He knows that, Rick knows that, and really, anybody jumping on either of them only hurts the situation.

There's no need for everyone and their dog to weigh in on the topic, so if we could please just let it return to the vote and the flies tied for the competition, I know that most people would appreciate it.

I'll be the first:

While I normally only vote for a fly that I think is somewhat original, that's a pretty nicely tied General Practitioner.

Maybe not as nice as that leech that was tied though? ;)
