Can anybody tell me what is the difference between WF and DT lines.

I find out both have floating and sinking type.

Having so many casting difficulties with my crappy freebie fenwick 8wt floating line now.

Therefore, I tried to buy a better line know!!

Every replies will be appreciated in advance!!

bravo-check out this article http://www.maineflyfish.com/howto_articles/equipment/003.htm The URL picks up in the middle of the article, but explains the difference between the two types quite well. In general, for more delicate presentations a DT is favoured, for distance and windy conditions, a WF is more desirable.

One good point about the DT line is that both ends are the same--so if one end of the line gets damaged, all you have to do is to reverse the line on your reel and -presto-you have a new line again---You will find the DT harder to cast--one reason being is that it is rare in this province that you get a day without wind--over all I think that you are better to buy the WF line--if you buy a good quality line and keep it clean it will last you for many years--
