Yeah, stripper clip is another. Not sure how it would be for the beach with seaweed and such

I've done it that way since I was a kid, I always thought of it like rope or extension cable. That's how I loop those.

Using my doublehanders on the rivers, I loop 2 or 3 coils on my fingers. On the beach, I use a homemade stripping basket to keep the line weed-free.
