I want to host a fly swap with a Coho theme for the fall. This is a great way to sample a variety of flies and share your flies with others. Here's how I've done them before we can open it to ten tyres, more if we have more people, and of any ability. Each person ties 9 flies of their choice that follows the Coho theme and sends them to the host in a self-addressed return envelope. Once the host receives all the flies they get divided and sent back in the self addressed envelope. I’d like to set a due date for late September so we can all have our flies for October. If anyone’s interested PM me and I’ll send you more information.
Thanks

Okay this is starting to pan out rather well so far we have 7 people:
Bead Head (host)
Fly Fishin Magician (BCFR)
Fish Finder (BCFR)
Wookie (BCFR)
Fish Ortho (BCFR)
ProfessorI (BCFR)
Rmpearson12 (BCFR)
Phearless (flyfishbc)
Leaving only three spots left to fill by September 4th. Just to clarify a few things if we get ten people we will each have to tie nine flies of the same pattern. This can be any pattern of your choice the fits into the Coho theme. I've also listed some simple guide lines that will help this go a little smoother.
1. Flies will be tied according to the specific rules of the swap.
(Dry fly, Wet fly, Nymph, streamer, Etc.)
2. (Toe tag flies) each fly will need to have a small piece of paper attached to the bend of the hook with the swappers name on it. (This makes it easy for the host to divide up prior to being sent back)
3. Flies will be mailed in a crushproof box. Altoids cans are perfect (Please no expensive Trout fly cases)
4. Box will be sent to the host (with a stamped self-addressed envelope)
(Do not put postage money in envelope)
5. Flies will be mailed before deadline date.
As for the dead line date I'm thinking around the 22nd of September after September 4th we can set a firm deadline. When you finish your flies PM me and I'll send you shipping information or if you have any questions.
Thanks
