"educated logging?"

1763 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  SalaR
A few years ago I had some very heated discussion with "the New Forester" types about the devasting impacts logging has on the entire watersheds. They responded that they now have better educated foresters, therefore the poor logging practises of old are no more. I think that perhaps the logging companies are pulling the woll over their eyes and perhaps using them as "Stooges"....I drifted the Upper Stamp River yesterday and had a chance first hand to see the clear cuts and devastation along the one time remote sections of this fine River...the same is happening to the Salmon,Nitinat Klanawa and more. Land slides not being talked about ...I wonder what to do?
