Hey guys. I managed to get out on one of the big lakes here in Pender Harbour and had a great evening of fishing. Lots of action from nice sized cutties and even from some other species. My buddy caught a little blueback and a peamouthed chub. The lakes are starting to warm up and I'm assuming...

Hi all, This video is from saturday, went to one of the local rivers and was fishing a royal wulff with lots of succes, probably landed about a dozen fish, but this rise was most definetly the most acrobatic, the action starts in the video just after the 1 minute mark, but you can see small...

Hello again, Tonight I was fishing off my dock for some cutthroats, which I saw many of and caught a few, but the seemed to be feeding on a 1-1.5 cm bug that looked similar to a moth, only it had a small body and long white antenna, with a dark grey wings and grey body. Do any of you happen to...

I just caught (and released) my first ever cutthroat from the salt this morning. Fry imitations were being completely ignored so I gave a Tom Thumb a try and hooked this little guy almost immediately.

I ask simply because this is the area that I live, but I've never put my line in the water here nor seen others do so. Anyone ever try the waters near UBC, Point Grey or Kitsilano in Vancouver for cuts? I have had some luck in Steveston for Bull Trout, and am going to try to Fraser River...

Anyone got any good recommended reads on Coastal Cutthroat. Primarily lake dwellers. There's a few good ones out there about sea runs but I haven't been able to find much that focuses more on the lake dwellers. A good book can help pass the time between outings.

Well with the season approaching I figure its time to start tying some more fry patterns. I've mostly been tying mylar braid bodies with an olive mallard back and a great big eye, but I'm new to this and looking for a little more inspiration. So lets see some of your favorite flies!

I'd like to get a 5 weight rod for beach fishing cutthroats. It seams that all the rods in that weight have wood reel seats, which I understand don't stand up well in salt water fishing. Does anybody make a 5 weight rod with an anodized aluminum reel seat that won't break the bank? Or am I...
