Great write up, im just starting to think again of trying chironomids. I never seem to have the patience but we will see. Thanks
Coastrider I here you, patience! however I was at spider lake the other day, watching the chironomids coming off in waves so I anchored up and started "chironomiding" and got my first fish after 3 casts=) some nice fish in that lake.

Yeah, not much of any hatch in Nanaimo today. Saw a few mayflies and a lot of midges but only a dozen rise in over 6 hrs. After hearing from kids daycare teacher of this 7lb'er I might need to make the drive

Awesome write up Connor! Great tips too, I'm going to fish chironomids for my first time this weekend, this definitely helped!
