Default Any open water around 100 mile area?

Heading for 100 mile next weekend and am wondering if anyone can report whether there are any lakes with ice-off.

    TIA

They're pretty much ice free. Sheridan looks slushy in the middle, but it's warm, so it should disappear pretty quick. I don't know how soon after ice off lakes turn over. Check with http://www.lbsportinggoods.com/Home. He puts information on his facebook site.

Thanks for the reply cjm. I checked the lone butte site and apparently most of the small lakes are ice free. I guess turnover could be an issue but I am sure we can find a productive puddle or two.

I will update when I get back home.

When I was talking to him, he said it's his facebook page that has all the current info on it. But I don't know enough about facebook to tell you how to find it. I don't think you'll run into any ice in a week. Talking to someone else, it sounds like they won't turn over for another 2 weeks. Aw, you'll have a good time

Just back from 100 mile. Fished watch and Fawn for two days. Got into a few decent fish including a five pounder at fawn on a boatman. Watch was starting to turn yesterday, probably full on today. Fawn was a mess yesterday, with welcome mat sized pieces of lake bottom floating around everywhere.

I heard from a local that most of the lakes in the area are turning right now. Probably not going to be great fishing for a few more days.
