    Default Stump Lake

Thinking of taking on Stump this year. Always drove past on my way to Roche. It always seems so very windy in that valley. All I have is an inflatable with an electric. Is that a decent shoal by the highway side or do I have to travel far for decent fishing? It is quite a big body of water so any info you may want to share would be great.Cheers T.

    Default South

The whole south end can be good.
Pretty close to the launch as well.
Just watch the wind and all is well.It is crappy rowing back
    against the wind.
    There are some L A R G E fish in there.
    Have fun.

    Default Kokanee

I have always wanted to try for the big land locked sockies that swim around in there.

    Good luck in there Thor!

Default Mid april would be my guess..........

...........but that is all it would be.

I have heard disturbing news about low water levels in Stump leading to PH issues for this season. Straight from the provincial guys who are out sampling lakes in pre-ice-off surveys as we speak.

I am not 100% sure what this will mean for this stillwater season, but we should definetly hope for some extra water to be flowin into Stump sometime soon!

    Default water

Let's hope the snow gods channel much water into stump.
The PH deal is happening more often now.
The lake is so fertile it is on the edge for trout.
If things go well don't try a granny smith coloured chironi at 25 feet in the 60 foot hole just off the boat launch for kokanee. They don't school up there and circle around.

phearless, that smile you put at the end of your statement looks exactly like the grin in your avatar. Don't worry, I would never do that! PS. lets hope the lake is OK (PH).

    Default smile

Yah well I just had one my front teeth yarded out, right side second from the middle. I feel a little like Billy Bob Joe Jim. That's one person from Arkansas by the way.
I do have a partial for the moment so it is not too bad.
Once it heals up I will put a new smile up for my avatar.
