    Default Spruce lake

I went on a three day horse back trip to Spruce lake this last weekend and the fishing was awesome. I packed in my 4wt fly rod and caught so many fish, some on dry but most of them on a black doc spratley. The fish weren't super big the largest one I caught was about 17" and scrappy as hell. These fish were so hungry they would eat anything and would attack the fly quite aggresively, if you stripped your fly quickly through the water you could see the fish racing over just below the surface of the water and then bang it would just pounce on the fly. If anyone gets the chance I highly recomend this lake.

To which Spruce Lake are you referring? I see a couple on Fishwizard.

Sounds like you had a great time.
