Smile Best Vancouver Canuck of all time!

Here is one that is a little off topic, the greatest canuck thread! There have been some real great players to have worn the canuck jersey over the years but IMO only a few could qualify for this title. Trevor Linden and Pavel Bure, the two best players to ever where a canucks jersey at this time. What are your favorites?

Man I used to love watching
Dave " The Tiger " Williams
    Fighting anybody and everybody.
    Riding his stick after goals.
Chasing rabbits with a stick on his farm in saskatchabush in the off season to stay in shape.
    O.K. I am over 40.

    Default Pavel

Yes Pavel, he was an electrifying player, always made you stand up and watch when he had the puck! One of the best in a nuck uni!

    Default Pavel

    He was an excellant 'nuck.
A bit whiny at times, but a great player for sure.
Just imagine if Tiger was playing defence with him.

For pure talent and excitement it would be hard to beat Pavel.

But for heart and leadership qualities it would be toss up between Trevor and Stan Smyl.

BTW, Phearless, has anyone told you you look a lot like "The Tiger"

In my opinion, greatness isn't just about scoring lots of goals or racking up the assists. Being the fastest skater or flashiest stickhandler doesn't do it either. It's about contributing. I don't think any player has contributed more to this club and this city than Trevor Linden. From his community work to going into a corner and getting his butt kicked sticking up for a team mate he's there for the team. He doesn't cry or whine or have a hissy fit when things don't go his way, he just keeps giving his all. Those are qualities that make a player great! My vote goes for Trevor.
BTW, like phearless, I'm over forty and wondering, doesn't anyone remember Orland Kurtenbach or Gary Smith. How about Rosie Paiment or Bobby Lalonde. Or the all time favourite, Harold Snepts. And let us not forget Craig Cox, who stood toe to toe with Bob Probert for 2 minutes in one of the hardest hitting fights I ever saw, then dropped Joey Kocur with one punch a couple of shifts later after serving his penalty.

Bure was definetly most exciting. Linden has brought alot of character to the franchise. Larionov was also a player who gave a fairly consistent effort.
