What is your favourite tire for your fishing rig?
Now seeing how as my neck is a little red, I am mighty powerful
attracted to pick up trucks of the 4x4 variety.
I have tried a few different brands and tread styles and I have come up with
my choice.
Drum roll please.....................
B.F.G. Mud Terrains

hey i need some new tires for my truck, how much am i looking at for the tires u mentioned?

I had a set of BFG Mud Terrains before, and they were fairly good off road, but not great on road or in inclement weather. I've had great luck with BFG All Terrain TA KO in the past...not as good in the muck, but adequate. Also great in ice and snow and about the only off road tire that carries the snowflake symbol making it suitable for winter use. My next truck will have them.
Cooper tires also makes some tough truck tires...the Aussies love them in the outback.
There's nothing sexier than a hook dressed in fur and feathers.
Stone,I will agree with you about the Mud Terrains not being that good in the rain on asphalt.
Other than that I really liked them.
I have heard from many people that for an all around tire they really like the BFG TA All Terrains.
I had a set of Yokahamas that were great in everything except mud. They were fine until you spun them in the thick stuff. After that they wouldn't clear.
I have also heard some good things about Cooper.
been checking out some tires and i think the bfg all terrrains are the ones that i am going to get.
I have a F150 4x4 XTR comes stock with 275/75/17
How much bigger can i go, also any recommend a good place to buy them?

You will need to check your tire height and gear ratio.
I don't recall the formula right now, but as your tire increase in diameter your gear ratio n
eeds to get steeper to keep stock performance.
eg. on my old chevy, stock gearing and tires
4:10 gears
32" tires
To go up to my 38" tires,I had to go to 4:88 gears to keep the same ratio.
Generally a couple of inches and you should be O.K.
You will probably notice a little difference in off the line performance.
But on the plus side, when on the highway your cruising rpm will probably drop a little. Also remember that if you go up more than a couple of inched your speedo might be out a bit as well.
