Well they are doing it again.
Gravel extraction for " Flood Control "
The ebb and flow of gravel in the river is crucial to the
well being of the river.
It creates rearing habitat, spawning areas and the bulk of insect production is in the gravelly riffle areas.
I know we need gravel for construction etc., but at what cost.
Perhaps more land based gravel is in order.
The river and all the facets she contains are too precious to damage any more.
We have done enough allready to compromise the Fraser.
Let her heal.
