Well Rick and I hooked up for half day of fishing on the Vedder today.
Killer wind down below so we headed up to seek protection.
We hiked in for awhile and fished a couple of promising looking spots to no avail. I thought I might have had a touch, but on reflecting it was bottom.
After the mandatory junk food stop we headed down to the canal for a go anyway. The wind was just missing us with the occasional gust blowing downstream, so not too bad.
At the bottom of the fishy water I kinda flubbed a cast and was messing with the running line. When I put pressure on the fly to start it swinging it took off for about 5 feet then nothing. There was my hand shake for the day.
This was on the prawny tube I tied last night. I posted in tube flies in the gallery.
Oh ya after the " incedent " with mykiss I couldn't cast worth a crap. Good thing that was the end of the day.
