    Default knotted pheasant tail fibers

I'm tying the butlers bug and I was wondering if anyone has tips on making the knotted pheasant tail fibers.

I have done knotted pheasant tail fibers and what I did was to first coat the fiber in Flex Head Cement, let it dry then tie the knot. I found this to be the easiest way to do it. I could place the knot very accurately this way. Here is a picture of a bug I tied up using this method.

The legs are pheasant tail fibers knotted. I hope this helps.

    Default tools

There is a tool out there just for the purpose.
It is a tiny latch hook tool.
They work great once you get the hang of them.

Have a look at this link from the southeasternfishing forum Geoff, as it shows how to use the tool phearless mentioned. The demonstration shows a single fibre, but the tool also works just the same for multiple fibres.

I will also post a picture of the tool so you can see it in more detail.
