this year there was a down turn in the returning kokanee populations to a few sample streams that the ministry uses to study the returns . i saw a reduced number here as well. some isolated lakes had good returns but some seem to have none .did any body see a reduced number in there lakes? it is a 4 year return i think so it may be just a bad year but........i think that they seem to be a indicator species of the water shed and the big trout, both hear and the big rainbow inland to the rockies .so let me now how your returns were if you have some the more info the better .and im always looking for more kokanee patterns ?? any Kootenay fisherman out there ?
