Hey Scott let me know when you feel like heading up towards Squamish. I have intentions to make my way to the Vedder in the near future as well.

For sure man. I'm off to the Vedder tomorrow, my next trip that way will be some time between the 14th and 18th. I'm taking a guided tip up the Squamish on the 27th. Can't wait for that.

When I fished the Bow River, in a younger life, we counted it if it was on for more than 8 seconds. We called it the "rodeo release"--especially because of the tendency for those rainbows to jump--and it counted because we were going to let them go any way. We always felt that it was better to have them release themselves without us having to man handle them.

If you get a chance to hit the southern portions, go try the Oldman, the Crowsnest and their tribs. A lot of pretty accessible water with nice, fat westslopes, rainbow and the occasional brown. http://www.youtube.com/user/humblefi.../0/dfaxt7qWb6k

can't beet that first tug on your fly line, to know something took your presentation
then the fight gets your heart rate up, and the finish is when the fish has been released (unhooked or long line), or kept for the barbie
    then its smile time

Well, second tug on the fly line. Was chatting with my local fly shop guy this week and noticed he had some 4-5" long olive sculpin patterns. I never thought I could chuck something so big but recetly heard virtually nothing's too big for bulls. I thought I'd have a laugh and throw that huge sculpin pattern where I saw some bulls last weekend and BAM! But sadly he got away too.
