    Default Hello fisherman!!!!!!!

Hello everyone. After browsing this forum for a little over a year i have decided to join. So far i have gathered lots of information and look forward to getting more. So first i would like to thank all of you. I have been fly fishing for four years now spending the first three in Calgary. 2011 was a great year for me as i hooked three Steelhead and landed the last one on the last day of the year. Some would say i now have a bug. I hope to see some of you on the river.

Welcome to the site. Great looking fish. What rivers do you fish mostly?

Thank you. I fish any river i can. As of late i have been hiking lots in the Squamish area. I have also floated a couple of the rivers up there in my Kayak.

Now that's somthing I'd really like to get into. Floating rivers. One thing at a time though.

Its not to bad at all. I float with a open kayak so i gets a little sketchy when the waves get in. Best to go with someone. And remember that if it looks to crazy then pull over and walk through. It works out in the end cause most of the time you go to shore at the tailout and fish the run below. This allows you to scan for hazards while your fishing. Most of the time there are fish behind the hazards so your already watching for them. Its awesome though because its a scenery change all day.
