I was there the day before yesterday at the gun club. It was so high we could only find one spot to stand and cast. The water is dirty, high, and fast.

That being said, before the big rain, there were plenty of fish being picked up by Murphies (as usual) and gear guys from the falls down through the gun club. Met 3 dudes in toons who had their 6 fish, all on gear, likely roe or plastics. The guy was rinsing out a bag (likely a bait bag) when I walked up on him as he was pulling out, but he had a gooeygob lined under his float.

    Thumbs down

Just fished it for 21/2 days. No fish water was high but clear. Not much bank access.

    Hi There

Also fished the Stamp early December. River was high and clear and we had heard reports that the occasional fish was been taken. Fished from early morning until early afternoon and 3 rods did not touch a fish !

River should have been perfect for the last 4-5 days. This cold snap might slow catch numbers, but the fish should be in their usual spots, as should the the hoards of people...

Has anybody been out swinging a fly on the stamp in the last couple of day? I'm thinking of heading out tomorrow just wandering how the river looks if not to high with the rain the last few days
