    Default Steelhead addiction

I thought i was addicted to steelhead fishing, especially with the two hander but i am more addicted then ever... all other fishing is becoming a non factor anymore. Only other fishing that kind of excites me now is river fishing for trout.
Coho fishing used to be a thing i used to love, but nowadays i might go out a half a dozen times a year..
Must be the combination of spey casting and the challenge of hooking them steelhead.
    Anyone else have this problem?
    love to swing

    Default C.s.d? Yes!

CRONIC STEELHEAD DISORDER is a real and deadly disease .it can lead to the loss of a job or marriage, make a full grow man cry like a baby ,spend all your time and money on gear and trips . basically your a junkie like me and were never going to be on the 'wagon ' from steel heading so just try and be strong ,make your time on the river count and dont take on any responsibility's that my interfere with your ability to seek out more chromers. i explained my self and my 'disorder' to my wife when we got together, so a few times a year i have to remind her of that ,she fell in love with a steelhead junkie .salmon grow old fast and if i cant make it to a spot that has steelhead then a good population of sea runs in a river can keep you from going postal .i hear you brother and there is fisherman (who will catch any thing ) and then steelheaders(the half dedicated)and then there is the hard cores ...the hard headers....square trailers ,the guys walking around gold river on foot all Christmas wile there family's sit at home opening presents , were chest deep in a ice cold river ,chasing cromers............some say nuts ....i say there all nuts and we are totaly sain............any one elts suffer as we?

    Default Bindger

    I am a steelhead bindger.
There are times when I go weeks or even months without fishing for steelhead.
Then there are the periods when I eat breath and sleep Salmo Mykiss.
    Or is it Onchoryncous.
Tying during the in between periods helps.
But nothing is better than coming home and saying to my wife ( smell my fingers )

I'm with ya on that one. Made it out twice this fall for coho, and wasn't that concerned about it. Now that steelhead season is here, it's all I can think about! Here and down across the line, I want to get at it already! Got a new reel to go with the double hander, and can't wait to feel it spin on some squartails.
