Stimulator, welcome to the site. I sent you a private message.

Hi all,
I’m a Danish fly fisher looking for a little help. I can spend 8-9 days late march/early april 2012 fishing for steelhead I BC. No explicit plans so far except that I fly in and out of Vancouver.
I’ll rent car and have a sturdy pair of legs at my disposal. Not afraid of walking. I’d like to do it mostly DIY style but can afford a guide a day or two. Walk in and wade fishing is my thing.
I don’t expect you guys to give up personal hotspot but would appreciate some pointers on which rivers/areas I should concentrate on. Hope someone will send me in the right direction so my dream of catching a wild steelhead on fly might come true. In short. I’m looking for rivers (or better still specific sections of rivers) with reasonable wading options and a chance to get their by car. Will you help me?

Thanks a lot - now I have 2 posts and the rights to PM you ;-)
PM sent on DIY steelhead
Hmm, I like this PM style of advice giving rather than blabbing directly here! Good on ya guys![]()

I agree that PM is a better way to discuss places to fish.
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for the PM's sofar. Very helpful - and very much appriciated. Keep'em comming ;-)
So!
All I have to say is "I'M from Denmark"
( or other european local) and the info flies (pun intended)?
Dear stimulator,
Skol, Carlsberg, Tuborg, ....
The time you've picked for the Vancouver area waters are hopefully prime (I take at least a week off work then)
Re-post as you get closer more relevant info will probably be available.
I would absolutely love a PM too. I've just got a spey rod late summer and had some good luck with Pinks but ultimately I am big time wanting to try for Steelhead on the Squamish but have no idea to where to go specifically for wading. I'm at the end of my second year flyfishing and am loving it. my best success has been on lakes but I definitely love rivers much better.
Any advice would be a great help.
cheers,
Mark
Im also from Denmark and would love some help![]()
