we are going to take the quad into theo today i will get some shots of the beach and rivers...and maybe the destruction...the sea runs should be on the beach and in the river... and maybe a steelie if im lucky :beerchug:

the Theo is just north of Lund , about 25 mins by boat ride . the narrow entrance to the inlet make a amazing habitat for sea runs. the inner by has acres of tidal zone to fish and that could keep you busy for the day .the sea run populations hear are sheltered from hard wether ,the bait uses the bay as a safe spot and tends to get quite thick at times , coho fishing hear in the fall can be a blast .with coho and sea runs mixed aug and sept can be killer salt days . the river is beautiful and has great cutts all season . a water fall at 5or6 mile cuts them of from a farther upstream migration to the best of my knowledge . the river continues with im sure lots of resident fish. steelhead can be found jan-April so im going to try and catch one in the salt this year . late jan ....low water....nice beach.... they have to be able to be cough in the chuck . any way the Theo is a beautiful small stream and the inlet would give any sea run cutthroat fanatic a boner. you may think well...why is he telling me this?..if its so hot then why share ?...well...because last year the took the last log from the theo .....i flew over her in a chopper and iv never seen the destructive hand of man like in the theo valley . the only thing that remains are several hundred burn piles and roads griding the entire valley . its gone....all of it ...hundreds of acres gone ! over the next few years the theo will die,and so will her sea runs and steelhead. it take a few years to rot all the roots and for the ground to become less stable .so i tell ya make it a trip for next summer or this winter or spring cause the theo is dieing and i dont think we can stop it now.

Have a great day.

Some of us are living vicariously through you guys who still fish.![]()
the water was low and i saw no fish ...did not even see trout....the valley is gone ....wow what a cut! its like a big sore on the earth all dead and brown....not how a valley should be! went to the old ranch . wow what a cool place if your in that neck of the woods. i would buy that in a second if i had the cash ...its what was once an old ranch with 70 acres of pasture and some barns cattle runs and houses..all over grown.but still there. some people got trapped by some grizz up there a few years back..trapped them in a house for a day or two, till some hunters came...we got chased of unwin lake by a cougar that was not happy we were there. we left the area very quick! all in all fishing was a flop but going in on a quad trail was a neat way to see the theo' .i will fish there more nowthat the acsess is open to quads . i will be needing D.N.A samples from steelhead and cutts from there.
