vedder steel

I was just wondering when the steelhead fishing will begin on the lower vedder. I was hoping to make it down for the end of Jan/beginning of Feb. for a weekend. I have only fished it once before at wilson park for salmon this sept. and was hoping to hit it again, hopefully with a new spey outfitt. do you think that this would be a good time or do any of you have any better ideas.

it all depends on the weather, if it's warm in jan/feb u will have a good chance. Last year the earliest one on the fly was jan7th, but they are in there in dec. The best months for fly is from late feb all the way to beginning of may.
