spey techniques

When you fish the spey, do you strictly just fish the swing or can dead drift with nymphs or even fish nymphs under an indicator and bee successful. with a 14 foot rod mending line should be fairly easy I would think.

the whole point of getting a two hander is to swing a fly, if u are going to dead drift anything or use an indicator, a single hander will probably be better.
