Well, I can't resist - I'll tie up the "Steelhead Super Mutant Shrimp" in pink if that's ok. While not pretty, it works very very well. It's pretty much a rubber pink worm, but it sinks like a darn and is much more castable than any other super heavy fly I've ever tried. Even the cutties seen to like it.

Sounds good to me!!! I'm going to tie an egg-sucking leech variation that landed my my first steelhead on the fly, and my second later the same day.... similarly, it's not necessarily a work of art, but for me it's all about function not form.

So we've now got 10 swappers and I'm wondering if we should close this swap or should we leave it open still? Also I guess we should decide on a due date.

I vote for closing it at 10, maybe say some time in December as a due date? Christmas might get in the way if we're not to carefull around the date.

10 people is a perfect number for me - should finish off a bag of hooks nicely

That works for me. Plus there's always one or two stragglers so set the date early I reckon.

Ya, good idea. Every swap I've been in has been at least a month late... So set it for Nov 1st and you'll be lucky to have them in your hands by Christmas...
