Well I guess I will just have to tell about it once I cast it. I got one from a client in the UK and when I casted his on the water it was very enjoyable.![]()

Hey guys! This season I had a client from the UK who was fishing the Mach II and was able to try it out. It cast quite good and with ease. Does anyone have any experiences with this line that they would like to share?

Hello Rick;
Sorry I didn't respond earlier,I thought someone else might say a few words on that line...There is a distinct difference between the Mach 1 and Mach 2 lines. Basically,entirely,the Mach 1 lines were manufactured by Cortland for Hardy;of course to their proprietory make-ep. The Mach 2 is now manufactures by SA for Hardy under a similar agreement. The Mach 2 has a longer head than the Mach 1 by about 15'...these lines cast very well,especially the Floating lines. They have a series with a clear sinking tip that is also quite nice. For years they were my favorite lines for Dry Fly Fishing and for Demonstrations like last year on the Fraser. I must say that the front taper is quite long so some of the Hardy guys(my self included) cut several feet off the front taper to assist roll over with our bigger flies. These lines are a blast to Roll cast...On the Island many of the older guys spey casting off the beaches liked these lines for their coil resistance.
Let me know how you make out
Courtney
