    Default Quick question. licensing

    Hey fellas. i feel like a bit of a tool. ive always just had both a saltwater and freshwater license on me. my girlfriend only has her fresh. what do you need to fish salmon in the rivers without retaining them? just a fresh? also can i buy a steelhead tag at say a fly shop or do i nees to hit the government office. i feel dumb lol but im on the ferry over so i gotta get onner! thanks fellas see you on the river

    If you wish to keep salmon in fivers you will need a salmon tag on your non-tidal license. Also if you fish in a river using a technique that may catch a steelhead you will need a steelhead tag also. There is another fee if you intend to fish in specific areas, the non tidal/ salmon supplement book expains this all very well

    Maverick, she's fine with just a freshwater license if she's not keeping any salmon. You can buy a steelhead tag at a sporting goods store.

    FYI: If the river fishing is still slow, check out the beach at Rotary beach or Willow point public parking areas for pinks around 5:00 - 7:00pm
    (high tide ) We've been seeing a few, so should be getting into some fish soon.
