    Default Bull trout expertise?

I have been flying into a remote northern stream lately for some incredible grayling fishing. I have been spotting very large bulls (10-15lb)range at the tale out of these pools and runs. Every time a I hook a grayling... the bulls chase them in, obviously a food source. I have tried minnow patterns, large stone patterns, egg suckin leaches, and various nymphs. These big lunkers dont seem to be interested in the fly at all. Any suggestions on fishing / targeting these monsters would be greatly apreciated! Watching these huge trout pass my fly over and over again is just a lttle frustrating. Only 1 week left of fishing these guys.

Try large 4-6" rabbit strip type patterns.
Double bunnies , matuka, strip leech etc.
Colour sometimes makes a differeence as well.
Black, blue, natural grey/brown or perhaps charteuse.
Don't be afraid to mix white in with any of those.
Sometimes a large bead, barbell eyes or conehead makes a difference.
When fishing to them, try swinging your offering two or three feet above them, and just as it comes into their window, start stripping it away from them. Sometimes a slow strip but very often a more agressive strip imitating a fleeing prey item will get them going.
    Works wonders at times.
    Good luck.

    Default hickory dickory doc

if there in the tail out and the water is shallow , then try a mouse fly or a vole pattern . bullies will smash one on the surface if it is trying to skate it self across the tail out .like Phearless stated, LARGE leach patterns and the big bunny.

Large intruders work as well. Same colours as mentioned above. I actually learned how to tie them at a gathering from members here. If the chance comes up again, take it!
