Hi
I'm not aware of any fish at french creek it still very early for there. I have heard of a few pinks (not many) being seen at the nile. If we get some rain this week I'm hoping it will push some more fish to the beaches.

Hi All.
I'm heading out to Qualicum beach this coming weekend to a friends cabin, I believe it is located close to the eaglecrest golf course. I am a serious flyguy but since I'm only there for the weekend and fishing is not the gangs main objective my room for exploring is quite limited. I guess I only have time to hit one spot per morning while the rest of my friend sleeps the night before off so to say. I would be most grateful for any hints on where to go. Would French creek hold fish now or should I try to hit the beaches by nile? This will most certainly be my only trip to the Island this year so I will not crowd you during the hotter part of the season.
Grateful for any response but I totally understand silence (PMs will be highly appreciated)
Cheers

I'd hit the Nile, or possibly Bowser, a bit further up island. You could always try off Rathtrevor as well. A bit early though. Might want to also try for cutties at those spots too. Have fun! Hope the weather cooperates. Summer has been underwhelming thus far, but things are looking up!

Basically it has been said..if you can though try Nile Creek at Day light or on teh late High Tide...there have been a few about bau these are spotty.holding way off the beach...French Creek is basically a no go...low and no target species..
It is only Monday evening though...last year we had our first Pinks landed on July 6th..

Anything happening up at the Oyster yet? Thinking of heading up that way on Friday.
Cheers,
Nick
Nothing at the Oyster yet, typically by the end of July for that system, although with so many fish coming !
Campbell is still really not enough fish to target effectively...was there yesterday

Thanks for the info guys. Got my spot and my fly!
Looking forward to this weekend.
BTW, will I find parking easily around Nile or do I have to find a few places on Gmaps to be prepared?
cheers

You can park right beside the creek.... or by the hydro station just north of the creek.

You too.... I just got back from nile.... just a few small cuttie's about.
