Having fun on the Pit and a little ocean fishing

Went out with a few mates to fish the pitt, awesome is all I can say - got a few springs and this nice sockeye.







Last week end fished on the ocean at sooke, got this one on a fly

Yea, 28lbs of angry spring salmon on a nine weight was fun, took a first run of about 300 yards, then battled all the way in.

Yea all on a cast fly, I don't trawl flies at all.

My fly of choice in the ocean? Normally tube flys that I Tye myself, like this one
