    Default The Squamish

Thought I'd drop a quick report for you guys trying to decide on where to fish on the weekend. Last Saturday I hit the Squamish with Ortho, and Fly Fishing Magician. The fishing was decent, and fly selection didn't seem to matter for sucsess, other than sparser smaller patterns by mid morning through afternoon. The hookups came in waves, when a new school of fish moved on through. The best results came off a type 3 sink tip or slime line. Too heavy a line, and too much dredging. If you're planning on heading up then try to do it on a week day if possible. It was pretty busy and we were on the river's edge by 630am. However most of the crowd disbanded by mid morning. Leaving a few die hards, and guides with clients. Can't wait to head up again. Tight Lines.
Would Love to post the pics, just don't have enough time to resize them all.

    Thanks for the report finder.
Hope to bump into you up there.
Once I get the sled all bandaged up, I think I shall haul it up there and give it a go.

I am finally heading up there on Friday. I got all my flies tied. Hopefully the fish are still there in numbers.

Sorry for the late reply fellas. I've been in the middle of selling the house and buying a new one. Once it's done then I'll have some more time for here and out on the water. We deffintitely should hook up sometime phearless. I hope to make it back up one more time, but we'll have to see how things go. Anlger traffic has slowed up some with the usual pink haunts up the valley starting to produce fish.
