These rods are very new to the market...I have fished one for Big Trout and think it will handle Pink Salmon nicely off the beaches. This rod is easily managed with One or Two hands making it ideal for many fisheries,even the lake fisheries. It is a moderate fast rod,for you nymph fly fishers you might not want to go home
