Anybody fished peterhope lately?
I have been skunked there enough times to know better.
But I have also landed my largest 'loops bow there as well.
Might head up this weekend.

love to swing
Had a buddy who got into some good fish last weekend.
He is heading back up, I thought it might be getting a little too warm myself.
This fish was from Wednesday...pretty slow though. In my opinion not worth suffering through the heat despite this fish...
Here is the picture...
Any tips? Flies? Locations? This will be my first time on this lake, fished Plateau in the Area, and Stump many times, but have never made it onto Peter-Hope for some reason...
Fish where the fish are!
You can try the shoals in front of the campsite, or just about anywhere along the lake.
There is alot of good water all over the lake.
If you check out a bathascapic? map you will see the sunken islands and some holes.
As for flies I woud suspect we are into leeches, scuds, small dragons maybe backswimmers/boatman. The usual suspects.
If things go well hold onto your rods, I have had fish run me out to within a couple of feet of 100 yards of backing there.
Post a report for us when you get back.
Gave it a try. Got skunked. Couldn't even get a hit. Wind came up bad pretty quick. Saw a couple nice rises while there though. Wasn't my day.
Heading up to Peterhope on the Thanksgiving long weekend, fishing should be good, hoping to land some big bows.
I have done well there on Gomphus patterns.
Different times of the year.
A couple of double digit fish.
Haven't fished it for a couple of years, but they are still there.
