Default Good Spey casting instructional video?

I've just picked up a Spey setup and I've been looking for some good instructional videos to get started. I did quite a search on the web, but I haven't been able to find many good ones online.

I have run across references to various DVDs, including one from Rio.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Free stuff online would be nice, but I'm prepared to buy a good DVD too.

    Thanks

I would recommend the 3 dvd set from rio called "modern spey casting". Send me a pm if you are interested and I could loan it to you if you would like.

watched the "Spey to Z" video and found it quite informative. It has Way Yin, Greg Pearson and Topher Browne so how to do any sort of cast you will need for spey fishing.

    Is it a skagit setup?
If so who better to learn from than the master of skagit Ed Ward
    pickup "skagit master
he explains the casts in lots of details
i would say its worth a watch

you should also try the "youtube" search. Lots of reasonable spey casting videos there.

I did quite a bit of searching on Youtube. I found lots of videos of people making spey casts, but not too many good instructional videos for total beginners. If anyone has any good pointers, I'd be happy to check them out.

This topic has been covered a few times.

This thread has more ideas about commercially produced videos available and some feedback.

Here are a couple online videos and sources of instruction:

I hope this helps, it got me going, then I got Spey to Z and borrowed a couple other videos, but really it's all about getting out and practicing...and getting a lesson at some point...I certainly owe Salar for getting me going in the right direction!
