Don't know about this year, but I fished it last year at the August long weekend. Fising was slow, most people were using willow leaf and worm. There is a large forestry camp site at the north (if I remeber correctly) end of the lake. I had best luck in behind tghe Island at that end of the lake, using leech (olive and maroon) and sedge pupae. Also had a few good hits on Dry fly sedge patterns (both Mikaluk and Tom Thumbs.) The road in fron the south is very, very steep and rough. Better bet is to leave the Coq at coldwater river and follow the coldwater river road to Kingsvale and then head back in that way. More kms to travel but no longer in time and less of a stress on the vehicle and the nerves. Hope this helps. Let us know how you do, when you get back.
