    Unhappy Caddis season anyone?

In The Weeds and I took off Friday night to a favourite lake like a pair of giddy little kids at Christmas time in anticipation for what usualy would have been a jackpot evening of Caddis splashin... but no, it dam neer snowed on us. Oh well we still managed a couple little guys that did'nt know better.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced a good caddis hatch yet this year? If so... what area / elevation? I have been out to a few lakes and there has ben no sign of my favourite bugs. The weather has been less than cooperative so maybe hatches will be late or sparatic?
We are expecting a baby any day now... so my time is a little restricted.
As a true fisherman I would like to say that I tried to get her pregnant so that the due date would fall AFTER the caddis season, so I am getting quite the stress fever over this little situation.
    Thanks for your input.

Ya it should have been a great evening for a hatch, but the biggest thing I caught was cold hands!! Even though the fish were not attacking the lines it was still a great evening out as it was my first time tossing a dryfly from a belly boat. The experience to see a fish rise up to the surface (even small ones!) and take my fly for the first time was one I will never for get!! Thanks again LiveToFly for the first of many dryflying experiences!! P.S. the pic below was my "big" catch of the night.

I am heading up to the pond this afternoon.
    Keeping my fingers crossed.
Lets hope the caddis are hatching.

Well...Im a proud dad of a baby boy this time! I was able to fish as a gift I supose! So, we hit it again tonight, this time on a warm okanagan evening. Still no strong caddis hatch. We did quite well, and landed several fish but still no strong traveling sedges to entice the lunkers we are capable of fooling. I guess we are being fooled for their timing this year.
