Hi PPH! We have a great group of anglers at FFBC, all at various levels and like my self we are always learning.Glad to have you aboard and welcome!

I just registered today after finding this site via a google search on coho saltwater flies. I live not too far away on the Olympic Peninsula in Port Angeles, Wa. I'm 61 yrs young, have flyfished for several decades & tied my own flies for about the same. I've scouted around this site for a bit & have discovered that a lot of the patterns and methods are very similar to what I do here, so I thought it worthwhile to register to learn more & share. A lot of flyfishing sites don't really pertain to what we on the west coast do or are familiar with so I'm looking forward to learning more. Fishing for coho this year is pretty strange. The fish aren't shallow like in the past, they're down around 120 to 150 or even more! I think maybe it's due to la nina or the water temps which are 51-53 F. I've had to help a friend rig downriggers just lately, so we'll see how that works (tomorrow). I'm a big fan of steelhead & the stillwater fisheries around here as well. Thanks for the great looking site!

Welcome aboard. Used to spend some time with dear friends in Freeland on South Whidbey Island fishing Bush Point. We used to fish pale yellow needlefish patterns on the beach. We also used to fish Lone and Pass Lakes in April for rainbows and browns. Enjoy your time here.
