Default New to the sport and need advice on start up gear

Hey there; been giving fly fishing a whirl up in Kamloops at my cabin on Paul lake and want to take the plunge adn get myself some of my own gear. Id like to try lake and river by pontoon boat. I need to start from scratch as far as equipment goes any advice on what to/not get and a good place to try it all out. Thanks in advance.

If you do a search of the forum, there are a lot of threads with basic equipment recommendations and pitfalls to avoid.
Fly fishing is not only a method to catch fish, but a state of mind.

Probably a 6wt with a floating line and a full sink line, try to find a reel with a cassette system if you can.

Here are some links to forum threads that might help you out:

    Hope that helps some.
