    Default NVO Report

Nicola Valley Outdoors Fishing Report for August 17, 2010

Mizzoula Lake for kokanee with a wedding band worm says one of our regular trusted sources. They aren’t all that big, panfry size, bur oh so good!

Paradise / Island lakes fishing excellent on small caddis dries such as the BC Tri Wing Sedge,Baby Cali’s and the Goddard Sedge.

Steve went up tp Marquart last night, walked over to his favourite spot made one cast with a black mini leech and landed a four pound chromer. Feeling that was the pinnacle for the evening he packed his rod and headed home. Not a bad evening.

The Jacks are running quite well in the Thompson now. Reports of good catches are coming in.

The lower Fraser is fishing well for sockeye for everyone but me. I managed a sunburn on the back of my legs but couldn’t keep one pinned to the beach. Everyone else was getting limits, the fish gods weren’t with me that day. Next time.

We are going to try and get out this weekend.

    Be safe and have fun.

In regards to the sockeye....right now I'm holding a horizontal thumb and a vertical index finger to my forehead......and the consolation prize? You get to see me tomorrow!! Alas, the crosses we must bear!
