open fishing and where???

I'm just wondering where there is some open fishing available as I'm new to the area and haven't had any replies to my post's I would like to get out on my own ,problem is I don't know whats rivers or lakes that are open and for what species not to mention method of catching could anyone help me out please as I have a really bad itch to get out and need a fix thanks

Glad to help but not sure where you are...if on the Island head for the Cowichan right now...fly only area is great.

need more info..what kind of fishing are you looking to do..how far from where u live are u willing to travel..what do you want to catch and waht size..fast fishing or trophy fishing....etc ... etc..
