    Default Oars

hey, I'm almost ready to try out my new boat I built. Watch for pictures of its maiden voyage in my build thread. Just figuring out the oars. I got oars and I got the scotty adapters to put oars in a rod holder base. I don't really like the angle that they sit on the side of my boat. My question is whats everyone's preferred oarlock system and mounting. Any pics would be appreciated. I thought the scottys would be nice and quiet and the inserts could be changed as they wore.

I like the scotty oar locks, the black ones. they are quiet do to the plastic. You can also get clamp on oar grips which i was thinking of getting. I know a guy that uses them and they look pretty spiffy and there really quiet. I think there called carlisle By Clavey.

    Scotty Oar locks.

Quiet is what I was thinking. I hate loud clunky oars that can be heard across the lake. I have the scotty bases that fit a rod holder and then I got the plastic insert for them that fits an oar lock. So when I'm using the electric I can put the rod holders in them.
