Well, just got back. Man was it hot!! Aside from the couple thousand dollars in damage to my boat and RV the fishing was fair to good on most lakes we hit and incredible on a couple others, let me tell you it pays to try some new lakes once in a while! My best days were on lakes that I had no experience on, go figure Met some great people this trip and expect we will fish together again real soon.

Sounds like you had some great fishing ... aside from the damage to your boat... what happened?

Hit a HUGE cross-wind on the Coq' and it ripped the boat and racks right off the canopy!! It flew into the front of my trailer and smashed the aluminum exterior and all the studs and wallboard out on the inside

Never in a million years did I think this could happen! but I'll tell everyone packing a pram that even with them being so short you can't just strap them to the racks. They realy should be anchored to the vehicle as well.

Luckily no one was hurt, and the boat was still fishable with a little jury riggin'!

    Question gump road

    Hi Erik,
I' m planning a trip in the near future to gump, and noticed you went up there (with your unfortunate mishap)just wondering how the road was to get in, 4*4 or would a 2 wd escape cut it? thanks

You won't have any trouble depending which way you go in? Going in from Logan take your time and try not spin and you should be fine. My buddies all laugh at me when I put my truck in 4 wheel on some roads but after a few flats from spinning in 2 wheel I can handle the harassment!

Almost the perfect time for sedges!! I'm jealous
