    Default summer steel

Time to start thinking about those summer fish again.
    Dry flies and t-shirts.
    Sweet!
I have to tie up some Grantham sedges.

    Default Timing

The runs are different in all systems.
There are runs that enter as early as may and late as october.
Check around for your area. Local shops will help as well as any one you know in the area.
The Coke should be open this year.
The Stamp has summers if memory serves me.
It all comes down to putting your time in.
And have fun while doing it. Some of my best memories are from days I didn't catch fish but still learned something about a certain river or run of fish.
If you are exploring, remember summer systems usually have two things.
    1- a lake
    2- canyon/deep pools

To bad my neighborhood river that had it all was dammed up by the gov. (capilano) So now i'm down to the chehalis, The stamp has summers and so does the thompson and skeena tributaries but not enough time to go all the way up there for a fish, mabey one day though, so now I try my hardest and find/fish what, when, and where i can.

Default for the love of summers!

each and every stream that has summers is very special and unique . each one that you discover will be a lifetime of story's and memory's. the farther you go does not mean more fish always, but its sure nicer than fishing the stamp with all those chochees!rivers on the island have a whats left of some good runs, read barry thorntons STEELHEAD where he talks of some of his favorite rivers ,i prefer north island my self ,cambell river north is where i spend most of my summer. to go fishing for summers on the dry IS THE BEST FISHING YOU CAN DO ...... and you dont want your first dry caught steelhead to be a hatchery fish or cought between 4 guys. find a partner or a good crew, do trip to famous remote island steams and spend time REALY geting to know the water shed . remember that a river has friends, and they take care of her. ......ride them high and dry...,... .....patches
