I was up at a lake my buddy owns yesterday to do some " research "
Seeing how I am involved in a project on the lake it only seemed right.
Took about two minutes to get my first fish on a pornomid.
Then a small micro leech caused a two pounder to head skyward.
Suddenly I realized my butt was cold. Hey my arse isn't supposed to be in the water in a pontoon boat. May Day.
Left pontoon deflated, right low head for shore.
After playing around with it for awhile I said screw it and headed back out leaving the pump attached. The right toon had just gotten low when I put it in the water and it cooled off, when borrowing always start off low and work up.
I didn't get a ton more fishiong done. Everytime my indicator went down I was pumping the boat up.
Oh well, I did get one about 5lbs that ripped me out into my backing on my 4 wght.

It has a good caddis hatch as well.

Heading up to the Pond on the long weekend.
If all works out we should get some caddis action.

Finally got to the lake at the same time as the caddis.
Saturday evening I fooled a couple with a pupa as I was cruising around the lake. There were a couple of fish eating off the top occasionally just as the light went down,
I put out my favourite mikulak and sat back down in the boat, wham let the games begin.
Probably my best evening on top with caddis to date.
Best fish around 6 1/2.

Sunday I didn't get out until 11:00.
Did some scouting around and anchored up.
Put on a caddis pupa I got in one of our fly draws.
First cast fish on.
It was another great bit of fishing. Two excellant hours before it died off.
I have to get out more.
Finished the day off with some fencing work on the property and home to see the grandson.

Here's hoping y'all had some good fishing as well.
