    Default Nicola Valley Outdoors Report

Fishing Report for April 20th 2010

It has been nice and toasty the last week and the ice is giving up the ghost fast now.

Courtney is open and fishing fair according the angler I spoke with.

Kidd lake is open. We haven’t heard how the fishing is, that usually means good.

Marquart and Lundbom are both open around the edges and looking rotten. We would think by the weekend all should be well there.

If memory serves Alleyne was half gone as well.

Harmon is still quite solid was the word we received yesterday. The Kane valley is holding out on us.
The higher elevation lakes are still trying to live in the past, but we know they will be ours shortly!

The good ‘Ol bobber and worm is still producing fish on Nicola Lake.

Sunday I had water Boatman landing on my windshield in the driveway. Good times are not far away! Smashing strikes from trout on a boatman pattern are not soon forgotten.

I just remembered there is a leaky rivet in the old smokercraft. Better get on that so I can get out on the weekend in between renovations on the shop.

Oh believe me, she's a she! She's *#$*!ed me more than once! She has also shared her ample bounty in the way of 8-10 lb. October beauties in 4' of water. Thanks C. got out yesterday as a matter of fact and put a good bend to her! That's right my rod is a she too! Cheers.

What? This isn't a dating site? Courtney is da bomb! Shelley aint too bad either! By the way, good report Fred.

Back to reality. Anyone fishing Courtney Lake, take some Minnie Lake Specials. Don't know why it works so well there, something to do with the red and it's association with shiners.

Nice to know it's heating up. 2.5 more weeks until my lake trip. Very excited! Thanks for the report.
