Fishing Report for April 6, 2010
Edith Lake is open and according to Aly and her cousins, fishing was a little slow with bobber and worms. A few bites, but apparently you have to set the hook when the bobber is on the way down, not up!
Andy Lake has been reported to be fishing well with plenty of ice.
Shrimp and worms were the ticket.
The south end of Nicola Lake is said to be producing some good sizes rainbows with worms just off the bottom.
Looks like we will have to go for a drive this weekend and check out a bunch of lakes to let you know where we stand with the ice.
Courtenay is still hard so everything at that altitude will be a bit yet before the chironamids start flying.
The next two weeks should see a large number of our ponds open up and let us get out there to use our “secret” combination dreamed up over the winter.
The sun is shining and it is warm.
Welcome home Spring!
