Default sea run cutthroats on the bay.

lots a fish moving back out to the beaches. mahoods, brew, gibsons, even willington all have fish. the warm weath had the eggs hatching 2 weeks early.and the fry are quite large. Mostly chum fry being swept out to sea in the higher water, this is producing some good fishing at the estuary.Im useing green epoxy minnows i got from bc spays a while ago. There smashing it hard. when it was sunny i was useing a strike indicater and a epoxy green elvin with a pink egg sack . just letting the curant take it out slow and it was tumbling out to sea ,WACK....pull a few every time i go down.
First few pools have the big fish in stream . and the first site of a otter or lowering water and there out to the estuary. First light is when the big fish are tight to shore right now, its high in the morning so its good till noon as it pulls fry out........good luck.

I'd love to get up to that neck of the woods some time. Sounds like a blast! Did you take any pictures?

Are you seeing any blue backs porpoising? I'm seeing that down here right now.

My kids were down at the Easter egg hut at Willingdon beach. My wife took pics of them and a friend trying to catch a fish with their hands in the creek. Must have been a little cutty I would guess. Looks about 8 to 10 inches in the picture. I never thought about cuttys down there but I guess it makes sense, especially with all the salmon they've been putting in the creek there in the last few years.
